Subject: Concerns Regarding Sergeant Walker
Commander,
I hope this letter finds you well. I regret having to bring this matter to your attention, but I feel compelled to express my concerns regarding Sergeant Jake “Oddball” Walker during our current expedition in the Central Florida Wasteland.
To put it plainly, I believe the Sergeant has taken a personal disliking to me. It seems like every time I turn around, he’s assigning me additional tasks around camp that no one else seems to have to handle. Whether it’s cleaning the mess hall for the umpteenth time or lugging extra gear for the others, I can’t shake the feeling that I’m being singled out for some sort of punishment. While I understand the importance of maintaining camp, I also believe in fairness among the ranks, and this does not feel equitable.
Furthermore, Sergeant Walker has taken to making jokes at my expense in front of the other troopers, which has only compounded the situation. It’s one thing to share a laugh, but his comments have crossed a line into outright mockery. I’ve noticed that the other troopers have started to distance themselves from me, and it’s disheartening. I signed up to serve the Republic and protect our people, not to be the butt of jokes in a hostile wasteland.
I’ve attempted to brush it off, thinking maybe it’s just his sense of humor, but the constant ribbing is wearing me down. It feels as if I’m carrying the weight of this entire mission on my shoulders while also being the target of unnecessary harassment.
I’m reaching out for your guidance on how to handle this situation. I respect the chain of command and don’t want to escalate matters unnecessarily, but I believe it’s important for morale and teamwork that such behavior is addressed. I want to continue contributing positively to our mission, but I’m finding it increasingly difficult under the current circumstances.
Thank you for your understanding, Commander. I appreciate your attention to this matter.
Respectfully,
Trooper Eli Thompson
